ABOUT US
We are Sam & Lou, AKA, Cluck Street Food.

We first met in 2017 and immediately hit it off with a shared love of great food. One of our first dates was spent demolishing a feast of buffalo wings & fried chicken burgers from a favourite spot in Brighton. We enjoyed it so much, we ordered again the very next day.
Cluck was born in 2021 when we both finally took the leap to turn our passion for cooking delicious food into a reality. We had an incredible first year hosting a pop up kitchen a couple of nights each week at a café in Croyde, and this was just the beginning. Chicken and waffles made an appearance for some brunch pop ups which went down a treat, mini buttermilk fried chicken burgers were feasted on as late night wedding food and we even catered a film premiere! Not bad for year one.

In the background, Sam had been busy building our very own street food trailer. Finally, in January 2022 after countless hours working away on it, it was ready!

2022 was a crazy, whirlwind of a first full season. We brought North Devon plenty more banging fried chicken with a full time residency at Freshwell Campsite overlooking Croyde bay.

2023 was our second full season at Freshwell, and we fully settled in to another Summer of fun up in the field. Our music nights became more popular than ever and we introduced weekly specials to our offering. The smash burger was a new fave with a fantastic new UK dry aged beef supplier, plus Sam kept tweaking and improving our fried chicken recipe to ensure it was the best it could be.

It's 2024, we're back at Freshwell again for round 3 and we can't wait to go again! We've got even more ideas for this year plus some exciting new projects in the pipeline so watch this space!
